Ward was born at MonroeLouisianaon 14 April1976. Ward went to Monroe Christian School, a Christian private school for children. She went to Ouachita High School to complete her second year of studies. However, she moved from there to River Oaks High School after the summer. The school she attended briefly was Northeast Louisiana University after graduating. Ward dropped out at 13 and moved into New York so that she could begin modeling. After a few years she made the decision to pursue acting. The first time she appeared on stage was in an uncredited character in 1970's soap-opera All My Children, and then was cast as the lead in a drama for teens on NBC Prime Time Malibu Shores. Then, in late 1996Ward landed a role in the soap opera daytime Sunset Beach where she portrayed the virginal Meg Cummings. The year 1999 saw Ward begin her acting career in films as Brittany Foster, the psychotic Brittany Foster of the erotic film The In Crowd. It was not a big hit in the theaters however, it was a huge success with home-video and cable. Ward made a cameo appearance for the film Shallow Hal - a smash success the next year. Apart from her direct-to-DVD parts, she also appeared in several guest appearances on TV shows like Friends. She was the principal part of the cast of ABC Family's drama series Make It or Break It during the initial two seasons in 2009. She appeared on the show in 2009 and was cast in the part Chloe Kmet as the mother of a teenage gymna. She was married to David C. Robinson, the producer. They had a child named Cameron.

Sandra Lee has achieved great popularity on social media with her pimple popping and blackhead removal videos. Dr. Pimple-Popper, as she is known on the Facebook and Instagram accounts, has been able to attract 13 million people following her. The TLC television show Dr. Pimple Popper has been featured throughout the six seasons. In addition, she has introduced her skincare line, and written a comprehensive illustrated guide to skin care.
